With over 2,000 small holder farmers and still growing strong, we look out for each other with the bayanihan spirit that all Filipinos share as a people. From farm to factory, we work hand-in-hand on all levels of cultivation and processing to deliver the highest quality of ube in the global market. In 2025, we established the country’s first specialized ube processing facility dedicated to adding value to our germplasm collection of more than 260 varieties of ube.

The Filipino Ube House is a collaborative effort among the foremost agricultural communities of Eastern Visayas, Philippines. With a key focus on community development, environmental sustainability and quality management- we pride ourselves in pioneering the Philippines’ first farmer-led value chain for ube.

Today, we celebrate a milestone that marks a new chapter for Filipino Ube House (FUH) as we proudly join our partner Fatima Multi-Purpose Cooperative (FMPC) in launching their Ube Processing Plant here in Tunga, Leyte.

Working together with the Philippine Root Crops Research and Training Center (PhilRootcrops), Fatima Multi-Purpose Cooperative (FMPC), Organikong Magsasaka at Mangingisda ng Rehiyon Otso (OMMRO), and the Biodiversity Research Center, this achievement is not just about opening the doors to a new facility, it symbolizes our shared dedication to uplifting the hardworking farmers of Region 8, preserving the rich heritage of Filipino ube, and bringing its unique flavor and quality to the world. Through this partnership, we are able to combine tradition with innovation, ensuring that every batch of premium ube powder we produce meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

Our commitment goes beyond business, we are building a community where farmers, processors, and partners work hand-in-hand to create opportunities and promote growth in the local agricultural sector.

IN PHOTOS: ATI-RTC 8, in collaboration with the Philippine Root Crops Research and Training Center (PhilRootcrops), Organikong Magsasaka at Mangingisda ng Rehiyon Otso (OMMRO), Fatima Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and the Biodiversity Research Center, will conduct a 5-day training on Organic Ube Production, Post-Harvest, and Processing from May 26 to May 30, 2025, at VSU Hostel, Baybay City, Leyte.

The training brings together 25 OMMRO members and Accredited PGS groups, along with 5 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), to strengthen their knowledge and skills in organic ube farming. With the rising demand for organic ube powder, this initiative focuses on certified organic practices—from land preparation to post-harvest handling—to ensure a steady supply of high-quality raw materials for organic processing and market competitiveness.
